The Chesterton Parks and Recreation Department provides residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities throughout the year. Some of these activities include youth and adult baseball and adult softball, soccer, basketball, tennis and pickle ball, children's interactive splash pad, playgrounds, trails, picnic shelter rental, and fishing.
Chesterton parks also offer a variety of events throughout the year such as the European Market, the Friday Night Car Cruise, and the Chesterton Art Fair, just to name a few.
Wintertime brings the Christmas decorations to Thomas Centennial Park in our historic downtown, with a visit from Santa Claus himself just in time for our annual Twilight Christmas Parade. The Easter Bunny has been known to make an appearance also!
