  1. Westchester Public Library to Close for Presidents’ Day

    February 18, 2019, All Day @ Westchester Public Library

    Both branches of Westchester Public Library, the Westchester Township History Museum, and the Baugher Center will be closed on Monday, February 18, for Presidents’ Day. Library buildings will reopen Tuesday, February 19, and will resume regular hours.

  3. Lego Club at Thomas Children's Department

    Do your kids dig Lego? Children, ages 6 and up, are invited to imagine, create, and build with the library's Lego collection at WPL’s Lego Club on Friday, February 22, from 4 - 5 p.m. (new after-school time!) Lego designs will be put on display in the Children's Department. The group meets once a month on Fridays at the Thomas Branch Children’s Department, 200 W. Indiana Avenue, Chesterton.   4. Hamilton Party for the Young and Scrappy- Registration Required

    In February, the nation celebrates President's Day, but we're taking things one-step further by celebrating famous founding father, Alexander Hamilton! Westchester Public Library invites children ages 7-12 to join us for a Hamilton Party for the Young and Scrappy on Wednesday, February 27 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. This event will take place at the Thomas Branch in the Bertha Wood Meeting Room.
