The following information is provided for typical residential users. Premises served by larger meters and/or generating wastewater containing other than residential-type waste may be subject to additional fees.

Deposits
- All residential rental units are required to pay a $130.00 deposit.
- All commercial rental units are required to pay a $260.00 deposit.
Past Due Accounts
The utility has a contract with Indiana American Water Company to provide shutoff of water service for nonpayment of sanitary sewer bill.
Past due notices are mailed 10 days prior to shut off. In addition, the utility can place tax liens on the property for nonpayment of the sanitary sewer bill, if the account is 90 days past due.

Chesterton Utilities now accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover. However, the following fees are associated:
